一 |     (ECNS)-- Beijing launched its first branded cargo train service Friday, as a “JD Express” freight train departed Fengtai District bound for the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.    Operated by China Railway Beijing Group, the train runs five times a week on a fixed schedule, carrying household appliances, electronics and cosmetics.        The service delivers in just over 24 hours, offering a standardized multimodal transport link between northern supply hubs and southern consumer markets.     Jin Shi, Manager of the Railway Capacity Department at JD Logistics, noted that this rail-based logistics model provides higher capacity and more predictable schedules compared to traditional road transport.    Moving forward, authorities plan to continue optimizing these specialized freight products to further support regional logistics efficiency.    (By Helen Mo, intern Lin Qiaochu)                    。    Colombo, Oct 18 (UNI) The Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, will travel to Sri Lanka on October 17-19 to discuss US-Sri Lanka relations and Sri Lanka’s economic situation, the State Department announced.
“Assistant Secretary Lu will meet with senior Sri Lankan officials to discuss ways in which the United States and Sri Lanka can promote economic stability, regional security, human rights, and responsive, transparent, and inclusive governance,” the Daily Mirror on Tuesday quoted a US statement as saying.
